Join the Golden Art Guild
If you are interested in joining the Golden Art Guild, meetings are held the last Sunday of each month, from 3-5 p.m. at the Gallery. Meetings are followed by a social hour with snacks.
The Golden Art Guild has five main purposes:
- To promote our local economy and help to unite the community
- To develop community recognition and pride
- To develop active tourism in the town of Goldendale
- To provide a location for local artists to show and sell their artwork
- To promote all art media, facilitate art communication, encourage art education and stimulate the community with exhibits and shows
Full Participation Artist Membership
Full Participation Membership Benefits:
- A prime retail location to show and sell your artwork with year-round sales and exposure in Goldendale's downtown business district.
- Opportunity to be the featured artist of the month and participate in gallery group exhibits or theme shows.
- Artists may jury into either the fine arts or crafts portion of the gallery or both.
- Artist receives up to roughly 32 square feet total, horizontal or vertical, display space in the gallery, depending on the medium being displayed. Artists displaying artwork in both areas of the Gallery receive more space.
- Artists may choose to display their artwork in a single grouping or combined with other artists' work.
- Opportunity to participate in special events organized by the Golden Art Guild.
- Attend monthly meetings held the last Sunday of each month 3-5 p.m.
Full Participation Membership includes:
- Cindy Bluemel Custom framing and specialty classes: % discount
- Maryhill Museum: 2 for 1 pass for admission to the museum
Full Participation Requirements:
- Display art work in The Golden Art Gallery.
- Volunteer a minimum of 6.5 hours monthly in the Golden Art Gallery.
- Actively participate on at least one committee.
- Work at least 8 hours on the annual benefit as well as donate one piece of artwork of your choice to the annual oral auction.
- Gallery receives a 15% commission on all sales.
- Resident of Klickitat, WA or Wasco, OR county.

Limited Participation Membership
A Full Participation Member is eligible to apply for Limited Participation Membership after six months of being a Fully Participating Member in good standing. There are a small number of Limited Participation memberships available. Limited Participation members have the same benefits and requirements of those of a Full Participation Member with the exception of volunteer hours worked in the gallery.
- Membership dues: $50/month
- No requirement to volunteer hours in the Gallery, committee participation or plan/work during the annual benefit.
Full-time Student Membership
Full-time students are encouraged to join the Golden Art Guild. Full-time student members have the same benefits and requirements of those of an "Active Artist" with the exception of dues, square footage in the gallery and hours worked in the gallery.
- Membership dues: $5/month.
- Artist receives 10 sq. feet total display space in the gallery.
- Volunteer a minimum of 4 hours monthly in The Golden Art Gallery.
