August - September 2011 "Into Africa" Exhibition
This year's annual exhibition is entitled "Into Africa" and is
about the culture of some of the countries of Africa. Two of the
Golden Art Gallery members have lived in Africa, Margaret Burkhart
served in the Peace Core in Liberia working as an art teacher and
Edith Gilded and her husband worked for the State Department in
Senegal. Margaret has many African artifacts and Edith has material
and clothing plus photos. Don't miss the exhibition the month of
August!
The Annual Dinner and Auction will be held Saturday, August 13. 5:30-6:30 PM at the Senior Center, 115 East Main Street, Goldendale. Dinner will be based on African style dishes - rice, chicken and more. Dinner is followed by an auction at 6:30 PM. Tickets are available at $15 per each before the event, $18 at the door.
The dinner and auction is preceded by a social hour at the Golden Art Gallery, 103 East Main Street, Goldendale, starting at 4:30 PM.
