January  14, 2009 - Second Thursday - 4-8 PM

We have not one, but two new wineries for you, Jacob Williams Winery from Lyle, WA and Marchesi Vineyards from Hood River, OR. You may remember the Marchesi Barbera we tasted last fall? We have both Barbera and Sangiovese for you this week.

Jacob Williams Winery has been producing wines for more than five years and the superb craftsmanship is under the direction of John Haw. You may recall John as the winemaker who Maryhill Winery on the map.

Not to be overlooked, we are also featuring COR Cellars' Alba COR and Syncline Wine Cellars' Roussanne.

Charlene Morrison is our featured artist this month. Her watercolors are absolutely beautiful. So please plan to join us Thursday beginning 4-ish at the Golden Art Gallery.

Should be fun!

Donate Some Green - Win a Painting!

Charlene Morrison wants me to announce a nifty way for you to have fun on Second Thursday at the Gallery. Donate some green, AND, by doing that, get a chance to win an original Charlene Morrison Painting!

Here's what's happening. When you arrive, you'll get an entry form. There will be questions you will need to answer. Hint: The answers are hidden in the Gallery. Look for Gold Stars. When you find the answers, fill out the entry form, attach your donation and place it in the entry box. A drawing will be held and one lucky person will win!

More questions? See you Thursday!

Also there will be music by Chad and Megan Moody.

And last but not least, Wines of the Neighborhood will pour each person who turns in a completed entry form with a donation "THREE FOR FREE"! That's exactly three "Tastes" of the wines offered for zero tickets! What's a taste? Well, it's somewhere between a smidge and a skosh. Heckuvadeal! See you tomorrow!

Cheers,

Leroy Schoot
