Fiddlin' Under the Stars - May 30 & 31, 2009
The
Golden Art Guild members set up 6 colorful booths at the Blue Grass
Music Festival. There were three demonstration booths with member
artists displaying their talents and wares. Scott Gray exhibited his
potters' wheel skills, Cindy Bluemel created tiny "masterpieces", Joan
Crice worked in water color as did Arlene Larison and Terry Thompson.
Other members brought in a variety of jewelry. Jean Ashley had a big
display of her bead work. Becky Gravenmier had her beautiful semi
precious stones and sterling jewelry. Sandra Choate had a tent full of
fun clothes and sock monkeys. Dave Burke had some lovely turned wood
works. Kathy Baldwin had a large variety of items from large digital
canvas photos to items from her cancer care web site as well as some
antique items. Jim Walter had a nice selection of his photography and
Dorothy Walter had lots of crafts that are garden oriented as well as
her wall art.
All the artists thought that the music, wine and art theme worked very well together and the weather was perfect for just hanging out. There were lots of families and friends socializing, plenty of good food, ample parking and facilities. The event was a huge success.
