Artist Statement "While I am creating I am in an altered state of being where the color becomes me and I become the color. I invite the viewer to share with me in the world of intense color, shape, design, movement, and emotion. Let your imagination run freely." |

Sue was born and reared in Seattle, Washington and was always drawing even as a youngster. She moved to New York City and spent a lot of time studying the modern works in the Metropolitan Museum of Art which has influenced her art. When she was accepted by the University of Washington School of fine Arts she returned to Washington and after completing two years she finished her degree with a major on Sociology and a minor in Art. She has been painting for more than 40 years and has shown in numerous galleries around Washington including the Golden Art Gallery in Goldendale. Her primary influences have been Kadinski, Picasso and Miro. |
