Beginning Watercolor Techniques (Ages 10 to Adult) with Charlene Morrison Charlene Morrison will be teaching some basic drawing skills and how to translate that into a watercolor painting. This class will take two sessions but you can come any Wednesday to get started. Wednesdays - 2:30 to 4:00 pm Each session - $15.00

Open Studio for Kids (Ages 8 to 14) with Cindy Bluemel and Margaret Burkhart - Moves to Friday Mornings! Open Studio classes mean what they say. The Art Studio is open for exploring. For a small fee student artists can explore a wide variety of techniques and art materials. These sessions are always on Friday from 4:00 pm until 5:00 pm. Friday, July 2, 9, 16, 23 & 30 - 9:30 to 11:00 am Each session is $5.00. Call the Golden Art Gallery prior to class to assure there is space, 509-773-5100. Parent sign up required.

Scratchboard Class with Joan Crice Learn the techniques of scratchboard. The surface is black and the scratch lines are what makes the design. This medium works well to refine drawing skills. Saturday, July 3 - 10:00 am until noon Class fee $20.00

Theater Workshop - Goldendale History (Ages 10 to Adult) Have fun in this workshop by practicing drama techniques and games all the while learning about the history of Goldendale. Possible performance to follow the workshop. Ages 10 to adult. Monday, Wednesday and Friday - July 12, 14 & 16 - 5:00 pm Class fee - $40.00

Clay and Pottery with Charlotte Van Zant-King Learn hand-building techniques, make clay tiles and use the potters wheel to throw a pot. Four sessions. You will make three or four projects. Wednesday & Thursday evenings, July 28 & 29 and August 4 & 5 - 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Class fee $40.00. Supply fee for clay and glaze additional.

Recycled Art (Ages 8 to Adult) Come prepared to make some art out of items that could be recycled. Mix your own paint. Build a sculpture. Practice recycling and creativity in the same afternoon. If you have any itmes you think will make great art, bring them along. Tuesday, August 10 - 3:30 to 5:30 pm Class fee - $10.00
