Duane Berg
Duane was born in Minnesota and his family moved to Oregon when he was two years old, living in several different Oregon towns. He took woodshop in school and enjoyed the craft. After leaving school he began building items for himself and his family, many were used for gifts over the years. After retiring from his job with the state of Oregon, he began making more wooden items, toys, planter boxes, bookcases, tables and more elegant pieces of cabinetry. Many were given away and others were sold in a craft store in La Grande, OR.
In January 2004, Duane married Kathleen Kubler and moved to Goldendale, Washington. When he found out about The Golden Art Guild, he was eager to join and get to know the folks of Goldendale and to see the Art Guild succeed. He now has many pieces in The Golden Art Gallery.
