May 2012 Exhibition - Goldendale Photo Club
The
Goldendale Photo Club is having a special exhibition this month at
the Goldendale Art Gallery.
The purpose of the photo club is to provide a platform for like minded folks to share their passion for photography with others and also learn from the vast knowledge base of our members in the Goldendale area.
Second Thursday - May 10, 4-7 PM
We
are continuing to feature predominantly "value priced" wine but we
also are bring ing back at least one example per month of a wine
from the region that is "special."
This month we are bringing back the Coyote Canyon Albarino. We featured this about a year ago and it is on the shelf at IGA. Many of you were very enthisiastic about the clarity, style and freshness of this Spanish Varietal. We'll be pouring this by the glass at $7.00 per glass.
We're pouring the Tisdale Chardonnay as well this month. You may recall we included this in a "blind tasting" about a year ago as well.
The Red selections will include:
- Columbia Crest Two Vines Red Blend
- Columbia Crest Brand Estates Syrah
The Chardonnay and the Red Selection remain $5.00 per glass.
Tasting flight is also $5.00.
There will also be snacks and music. We start about 4:00 PM and go
till about 7:00 PM. See you Thursday!

Golden Art Gallery Classes
The Golden Art Gallery
currently has classes in ceramics, pencil drawing, watercolors and oriental art.
Resuming in February - Classes for Adult and Children's Ceramics taught by Charlotte Van Zant-King at Father's House Fellowship. Charlotte is also teaching a class in Oil Painting at the same location.
Interested in Watercolors? Charlene Morrison teaches by appointment. Please call the Gallery at 509-773-5100 to schedule an appointment.
Children's Studio - Wednesday Afternoons
Open Studio for Kids each Wednesday, ages 8 to 14, at 4:00 PM with Margaret Burkhart. Great after school activity for kids!
Saturday Classes
Joan Crice teaches a class every second Saturday called Instruction with Pencil.
