The Golden Art Gallery is pleased to have a special exhibit of the Goldendale Photo Club this month.

The Golden Art Galley welcomes a new ceramic artist that joined us in March. Her name is Paige Wright. Please give her a warm welcome when you see her. Her work is beautiful and wort a visit to the gallery!

Second Thursday - May 9, 2013

Join us Thursday, May 9, for Second Thursday at the Gallery.

This Second Thursday's reception will be held in honor of this month's exhibit by the Golden Photo Club. There will be wine tasting and hors d'oeuvres, 4-7 PM.

Meagan and Chad Moody of Moody Music Notes [local, well known and loved!] will provide the musical entertainment.

Here's the wine Line up.

First let me tell you about the 2012 Tsillan Cellars BOCCIOLO DI ROS'E. I don't particularly favor Ros'e, period. And off-dry or semi sweet wines are also not usually on my hit parade. So why drive 500 miles and come back with Ros'e?  Because this one is just delicious. No other word. Just Delicious.

The 2010 Tsillan will make a rich meat dish or a savory Pasta dish come alive. Great fruit and a truly civilized acidity.A blend of Sangiovese, Barbera, and Nebbiolo, it beautifully integrates the great flavors and character of the noble grapes of Tuscany and Piedmont - grown on the sloping south shore of Lake Chelan.

These you MUST try.

The Columbia Crest Two vines Sauvignon Blanc is welcome at any patio or deck party. Dry, refreshing and just what you need to begin the "Mingling" process at your next party.

The Snoqualmie Merlot is a smooth, friendly, not too deep Red that works with about anything that your favorite home chef serves from the Grill.

Now for something a bit different!

Each purchase of $10.00 on Arts or Crafts during the May 2013 Second Thursday event wil allow you to obtain one ticket towards the purchase of a glass of wine. Limit of 10 tickerts per person.

Of course, if you prefer a soft drink, we can work that out as well.

For example, a purchase of $25.00 gets you two tickets. A purchase of $49.00 gets you four tickets, etc. So what if someone buys a $500.00 painting? Still 10 tickets and a huge thank you!

The normal price is $5.00 per 5 ounce glass of the Sauv Blanc and Merlot and $6.00 per 5 ounce glass of the Rose or Sinistra.

Golden Art Gallery Classes

The Golden Art Gallery currently has classes in ceramics,  pencil drawing, watercolors and oriental art.

Children's Studio - Wednesday Afternoons

Open Studio for Kids each Wednesday, ages 8 to 14, at 4:00 PM with Margaret Burkhart. Great after school activity for kids!

Joan Crice teaches a class every second Saturday called Instruction with Pencil.
